Auto dealers expand, spruce up as business rebounds.  The newest dealership to throw open its doors is Cavender Fiat, to open today at 15670 Interstate 35 North in Selma at the space previously occupied by Saturn of San Antonio.

Stephen Cavender, dealer and co-owner, said the location is accessible and visible, with as many as 80,000 vehicles passing by daily. He said he expects Fiat, with its Italian styling, good fuel economy and aggressive pricing, to appeal to young buyers.

Co-owner and Vice President Rick Cavender said his company was tapped by Fiat for the dealership. ?Cavender is one of the few non-Chrysler dealers to be awarded Fiat,? he said. (Chrysler Group LLC is now majority owned by Fiat.)  You can find them at www.cavenderfiat.com.
